And Now for Something Completely Different

Sometimes forging ahead feels better then continuing to camp out with the timid-me, the me that wants to avoid mistakes, and remain safe in my choices. But to be honest, I have been sitting in this camping chair for a longer time than I want to admit.

I have a collection of stories that crowd my thoughts, and little characters that emerge and make footprints in my head and often my heart, and they want to be released. I surely don't need them wool gathering in my head. I do enough of that on my own.

So, this website is one of the first tenuous steps toward releasing these little characters into the world. I hope you enjoy the little tease I have provided, and I hope even more that this is the start of something, if not big, at least self-satisfying.

What comes next? I hope to send some of these tales out to publishers, but these days, understandably, the cost of producing picture books is exorbitant, and publishers don’t readily take a chance on newbies such as I am.

I am gathering up the nerve to publish them myself. But refer to that camp chair, where I stay safe, and warm by the fire. I may start Kickstarter soon. Or stay in the camp. The unknown dark beyond the campfire light worries me.

So, please, browse around, look at the book covers that represent the books ready to be catapulted onto your bookshelves (shameless self-promotion), and the books that are still in progress, with my characters tracking their adorable muddy feet through my brain.

Also, on the top of the page click on BLOG (or if you are on a mobile device, look at the pull down menu), are some blog posts which have been previously published. They aren’t child-oriented. They are reflections of everyday life as I have observed it, the days that changed everything as I have survived them, and the random thoughts that my mind meanders through regularly.

Pray that I step out into the unknown guided by the only light that should be followed: the Light of The World.
